2025 BATCH C PCMs Are Now Excluded From Obtaining The Mandatory NERD Clearance Slip

A Circular has just been released by "NERD" with respect to the new policy by the federal government of Nigeria which involves the mandatory submission of final year output (Thesis/Project) by graduates for NYSC mobilization.

In the circular dated 17/10/2025 and duely signed by the secretary to the governing council of NERD Mr Richard Falaye, it stated that the policy will strictly apply to all Batches of NYSC from january 2026.

Some important information from the circular reads as follows;

"NERD, in collaboration with the NYSC and other relevant agencies, has agreed to relax stringent measures for the 2025 Batch C prospective Corps members."

"This decision recognises that these students fall within the transitional period and their mobilisation processes had started before the deadline set by the new Federal Government directive."

Accordingly, this category of graduates shall not be disadvantaged by the new enforcement phase."

"The mandatory NERD compliance applies to all graduating students preparing for NYSC mobilisation AFTER the Federal Government’s enforcement date of 6th October 2025.

This implies any batches of NYSC from January/February 2026.

Essentially, those who were already undergoing service prior to this date (6th of October 2025), or were in NYSC orientation camps as of that date, or were already being mobilized by the NYSC through its institution processes as of the 6th of October 2025 shall be deemed to fall within the pre-enforcement or transitional bracket and are therefore exempted from the immediate NERD compliance clearance conditions of the Federal Government.

    Is the nerd requirement applicable to those who registered for batch c 2025 and are yet to receive their call up number
    2 if moved to 2026 will they have to follow the nerd requirement? Or just proceed to cam at the stated time after getting their call up number

NYSC Call Up Letter Printing Date & What To Do Once You Get Your Call Up Letter

Later the long awaited Call-Up letter for 2026 Batch A Stream 1 will be out. Before we proceed you should be aware that the official camp date for 2026 Batch A Stream 1 has been fixed and it will commence on 21st January 2026 if the date is not adjusted.
