With respect to the newest development by the federal government which involves the submission of Thesis (Final year project) by graduates before they can be mobilized for service, the NYSC management has finally issued a circular to all schools.
Below is the circular, and we will explain what the below circular is all about;
If you have gone through the above circular, in summary it simply means that all PCMs starting from 2025 Batch C will report to the NYSC Camp with a "NERD Clearance Slip".
WHAT IS NERD CLEARANCE SLIP?
The NERD clearance slip is the slip which will be issued to graduates after they have successfully submitted their Thesis and it is approved. The process of obtaining it will not be complex or complicated so just relax your minds.
HOW DO I OBTAIN THE NERD CLEARANCE SLIP FOR NYSC MOBILIZATION?
As stated earlier, the NERD clearance slip will be obtained after a PCM submits or deposits their academic outputs, such as thesis or project reports into the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank popularly known as NERD.
Hence all graduates who are prospective corpers and fall into 2025 Batch C, 2026 Batch A and upwards should contact their various institution on how to go about the submission and they will be guided appropriately by their respective institution.
IN OTHER UPDATES:
The NYSC management has finally given schools hope that there will be fresh Senate List upload for the upcoming 2025 Batch C online registration after months of "NO UPLOAD" which left most schools and graduates quite stranded.
In a released memo, the management advised Corps Producing Institutions (CPI's) to follow due process, as well as be very meticulous in the collation and uploading of their eligible graduates details.
The management further stressed that CPI's are to take caution in unauthorised requests to drop already uploaded details, probably for the purpose of adding more details of their eligible graduates and re-upload to the NYSC senate list data base as this might lead to unfortunate situations.
For those who haven't come across this information before now, below is the memo that was released as regards to the next senate list upload for Batch C:
All PCMs are encouraged to keep in touch with their various institutions to know about their senate list.
Once the date for upload commences we will update all PCMs so make sure you are following us either on whatsapp or facebook.
