NYSC New DG Guarantees Payment Of N77,000 Corps Allowance In March

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu has said that all Corps Members would be credited with their new monthly allowance of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira with effect from March, 2025.

He said the Scheme and Federal Government are responsive to their welfare and would continue to ensure that their well-being is accorded maximum priority at all times.

The Director General disclosed this today while interacting with Corps Members in Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.

General Nafiu, who thanked the Corps Members for their selfless service to the nation advised them to remain calm, dedicated, focused and disciplined.

He lauded the founding father of the Scheme for conceiving the vision, while he advocated that all and sundry should rally round the Scheme.

General Nafiu added that NYSC is a beautiful Scheme that is building bridges and exposing graduate youths to learn and understand the cultural values of places outside their places of birth.

He stated further that Management would continue to instill the virtues of patriotism, discipline , self-restraint, good morals, leadership qualities and teamwork in the successive batches of Corps Members.

"With effect from March, you are going to receive the sum of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira as your monthly allowance. NYSC is good at record keeping and l can assure you that your money will be paid. The Nation and the Scheme appreciate you", he said.

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues at Garki Zone, Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri FC/24A/5831, lauded the Director General for his conscientious efforts towards the payment of their increased monthly allowance.

President Tinubu has approved the comprehensive reform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), which will see the agency being led by a civilian in its operational leadership, while the military will continue to handle security for corps members across the country. Tinubu also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande, to amend the NYSC Act and its regulations to reflect all the approved reform measures, enabling immediate implementation of the new framework. Schools Commence Internal Mobilization For Next 2026 Batch/Stream Senate List Upload

A very big congratulation to the next 2026 Batch of Prospective Corps Members as their mobilization for NYSC has officially kicked off. Some schools like Ambrose Alli University  have just recently released their internal senate list which will be uploaded later and hardcopy sent to NYSC headquarters for verification. Uploading of senate list by your school's SAO (Student Affairs Officer) to NYSC senate list portal will commence afterwards i.e after internal senate lists are released. As the orientation camp is almost over, you’re now free from the early morning hassle, meditation, and strenuous drills. You are on to another phase of the service. This time it’s not about drills but responsibility and the next line of action for your own future. Here are some things you should do after the orientation camp. - Settle down : In your posting letter, it is indicated where your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is and you must have been conveyed by representatives of the different Local Government Areas where you’re posted to the area. The next thing is to settle down.  There are usually four temporary and permanent accommodations provided by religious bodies such as NCCF, NACC, MCAN and the likes.
