NO AVAILABLE STATE SLOT - How To Fix The Issue Of No Available State Slot During NYSC Online Registration

During the NYSC online registration process, certain obstacles or issues are usually encountered while Prospective Corp Members are going thorough with their respective registration in different states of the federation. 

One of the most common issues faced by PCMs during this online registration is the notification which reads "No Available State Slot". This is not supposed to be seen as an issue but we have tagged it as an issue because of the mass panic it sends to PCMs who are about to happily register for their NYSC programme. 

Be certain that NYSC is fully aware of this notification and it happens in almost every single batch of NYSC. There is absolutely no reason for any PCM to panic if they are seeing the scary notification of "No State Available" and are yet to register as the states will later be available or NYSC will on their own will, select random states for PCMs who couldn't select any state during the course of their online registration. 

There have been no factual or valid reason(s) by NYSC as to why states are sometimes not available during the online registration process but the major reason we can come up with for this notification is that the NYSC management is trying to curtail the amount of PCMs who have registered to be posted in particular states. This is because there is always a specified number of PCMs every state is to contain and NYSC wouldn't like those specified numbers to be exceeded. So During the time you see the "No Available State Slot" notification, NYSC is working on dispersing already registered PCMs accordingly to states they are to be posted to. 

Once this is done, the "No Available State Slot " notification will usually wipe off from the NYSC portal and states will be available again. There are 2 things a PCM can hope for, NYSC will either make the states available for them later to select or they will be given random states by NYSC. 

Whatever the case may be, PCMs should note that the "No available state slot" doesnt mean the end of the NYSC online registration. Prospective Corp members are advised to keep checking on time intervals to know when or if states will be available again.

      Yes you can make payment and complete the registration. NYSC will automatically select states for you
