NYSC BROADCAST

The upcoming National protest in Nigeria has sparked concerns about its potential impact on various aspects of society, including the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program for the upcoming 2024 Batch B Stream 2.  As a result of concerns from Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), we have decided to share several reasons why the protest may not affect the ongoing NYSC program and camp date. Firstly, the NYSC is a federal government program that operates independently of political activities. The scheme's primary focus is on national integration, youth development, and community service, which are unlikely to be directly affected by the protest. Secondly NYSC orientation camps are located in remote areas, away from the cities where protests typically take place. This physical distance reduces the likelihood of protests disrupting camp activities. Thirdly, NYSC participants are expected to remain neutral and avoid involvement in political activities. This expectation helps maintain a...

What is NYSC Addendum and how do i print the NYSC Addendum? These are possible questions most prospective corps members for the NYSC programme ask immediately after their online registration. Before i proceed to tell you what the addendum for NYSC is, it will be good to first know what the document "Addendum" stands for in general terms. An addendum is a Latin word that means "something to be added." In various contexts, an addendum refers to additional information, provisions, or terms that are appended to a document, contract, or agreement. Addendums are commonly used in real estate transactions, business contracts, and legal agreements. They provide a way to modify or expand the original terms without rewriting the entire document. This saves time and ensures that all parties are on the same page. As for NYSC Addendum , it is a crucial document for camp. Some camps take it serious to request for it, other camps might not so it is prerequisite that you print it wh...

N70,000 monthly allowance might be the new pay for upcoming corpers in the National youth service corps programme as President Tinubu just gave his approval for a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers. Although it hasn't been announced to corpers but it's a welcome development as we all know that corpers are always paid the minimum wage. Tinubu approved it with a commitment to review the national minimum wage law every three years. This development was confirmed by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement released on Thursday. According to the statement, President Tinubu made the announcement during a meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting was attended by NLC President Joe Ajaero, TUC President Festus Osifo, and relevant federal ministers. The President also promised to review the four-month salary arrears of u...

The Governor of Niger State Mohammed Umar Bago has made a promising announcement aimed at enticing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to stay and be comfortable in the state during and after their service year. During a recent visit to the NYSC orientation camp in Paiko, the Governor revealed plans to pay each corps member a sum of N200,000. This initiative is part of the state government's efforts to make Niger State a comfortable and attractive place for young graduates to settle and contribute to its development. The Governor acknowledged the challenges faced by corps members in the state, including difficulties in settling down and finding employment opportunities. He expressed his belief that the N200,000 payment would serve as a motivation for corps members to consider staying in Niger State and exploring opportunities available. The Governor also highlighted the state government's commitment to creating an enabling environment for young people to thrive. He m...

In this article am going to give you a detailed outline of why we think the NYSC camp might not be opening anytime soon as initially speculated to open on 26th June 2024. At the time of writing this post the call up lettet has not been released. Note that this is a personal and an individual opinion and it is not in anyway from an official announcement or Official Memo from the NYSC management. With that being stated, you can still calm down and be expecting your call up letters but it is good to know these facts so that you are not taken by surprise. Before i go into details also remember that the date 26th June 2024 has never been an official date for orientation camp, it has always been tentative and subject to change and the management had never announced it as official on any of their social media handle at the time of writing this post. Even if you are to check the current NYSC Mobilization Time-table for 2024 Batch B you will find out that there is no date designated for orien...

Regarding the upcoming nationwide strike by NLC (Nigerian Labour Congress), here is an article on whether the upcoming strike will affect NYSC mobilization of 2024 Batch B prospective corps members (PCMs). This article will clarify so many questions you have in mind.  The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a vital institution in Nigeria that plays a crucial role in the country's development. Recently, there have been concerns about an upcoming strike action by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and its potential impact on the NYSC program. However, it is important to note that the NYSC is an independent organization that is not directly affected by the strike action. The strike is primarily aimed at pressing home the demands of workers in the public sector, and the NYSC is not a part of this category. Moreover, the NYSC program is a mandatory scheme for all Nigerian graduates, and it is not dependent on the presence of workers in the public sector. The program is designed to pr...

Don't be deceived, This is a new cunning and dubious way some greedy and selfish NYSC whatsapp admins now use to lure innocent PCMs to patronize them for medical fitness certificate.  If you already have a medical fitness certificate issued by a certified government hospital and it doesn't have the Meningitis vaccination or immunization stated on it do not panic because it's not a problem, your medical fitness will still be accepted in camp.  Don't go and throw away a valid Medical fitness certificate you have gotten any where whether online or in the government hospital with your hard earned money because it doesn't have Meningitis vaccination, then patronize those greedy random whatsapp admins who make posts that the vaccination should compulsorily be on your medical fitness because you want the meningitis vaccination in your medicals, i can assure you it's not as mandatory as they exaggerate.  The immunization against Meningitis notification is a necessity fo...

It started from 2024 Mobilization Exercise, where it was announced that all the eligible Prospective Corps Members are expected to register for Mobilization with their National Identification Numbers (NIN). NYSC introduced the inclusion of the National Identification Number (NIN) in January 2024 as one of the mandatory requirements for online registration. Now many PCMs are not clear about how it works, especially those whose NIN dates of birth differ from their other documents. This simple guide is for you. Your name on NIN must tally with the name on your JAMB Matriculation list . You cannot be John Uche on your NIN and your JAMB Matriculation list name is John Uchechukwu Okafor. It will further be best if the NIN name also corresponds with the name on Senate List because there have been rare cases where PCMs are not able to register because their name on Senate List and NIN doesn't correspond. The names on both of them should correspond and be exactly the same both in name sp...

As the orientation camp is almost over, you’re now free from the early morning hassle, meditation, and strenuous drills. You are on to another phase of the service. This time it’s not about drills but responsibility and the next line of action for your own future. Here are some things you should do after the orientation camp. - Settle down : In your posting letter, it is indicated where your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is and you must have been conveyed by representatives of the different Local Government Areas where you’re posted to the area. The next thing is to settle down.  There are usually four temporary and permanent accommodations provided by religious bodies such as NCCF, NACC, MCAN and the likes. Some local governments also have Corpers Lodge which you can make use of before you proceed to your PPA. For some, these places eventually become their permanent residence for the service year. - Locate your PPA and NYSC Area or Local Office : Don’t carry your bags and trav...

It is no longer news that you will not be mobilized if you are above 30 years of age while applying for the National Youth Service Corps Programme (NYSC), rather you will be issued NYSC exemption letter/Certificate. With respect to that, it is very important to ascertain whether or not you are too old for NYSC by calculating your age and making sure it's not above 30.  HOW TO CALCULATE THE AGE WITH EXAMPLES Lets assume that Obinna's date of birth is December 5th 1990. Obinna graduated from his school on December 4th 2020, in this case Obinna is good and eligible to go for NYSC at any age he or she wants to, provided he finished school less than 30 years. Obinna graduated December 6th 2020, Obinna will be given exemption letter due to the fact that he is above 30 years of age by a day (30 years + 1 day). Note that the date of graduation from your institution is when the final result was approved by your school governing body which is the school senate body. That particular date ...
