This Is Why NYSC Is Yet To Pay The 77k Alawee Increament As Promised

There has been a press release by the NYSC management regarding payment of the 77k alawee that was supposedly increased from 33k.

A circular regarding the situation of things has been released to all corps members and NYSC stake holders, with hope that it will help everyone understand. Below is the information contained in the memo that was released;

This is to inform the Corps members, Corps employers and other NYSC stakeholders that the Federal Government has not yet released the promised increment In the personal allowance to Corps members.

However, arrears will be paid into Corps members accounts with effect from July 2024. 2023 Batch C Corps members should be rest assured that all their entitlements will be paid.

Also we wish to inform the Corps members and the general public, particularly our stakeholders that payment for their participation as Adhoc staff in the last gubernatorial election in Edo State ts solely the responsibility of INEC and not NYSC Management.

This is to debunk the rumors making the rounds that NYSC has deliberately withheld the said allowance. However, the management is making all efforts to ensure that the institution saddled with this responsibility pays the concerned Corps members as soon as possible.

We enjoin our Corps members and stakeholders to continue exercising patience and understanding with the scheme. Thank you.

NYSC TO OPEN ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL AGAIN FOR THE RECENTLY UPLOADED SUPPLEMENTARY SENATE LIST FOR Portal for supplementary online registration will be opened from thursday 9th April 2026 to Saturday 11th April 2026 for 2026. This was announced officially by NYSC management recently.  Remember that SAOs of institutions were instructed few weeks ago to upload supplementary senate list of their students who couldn't meet up with the initial 2026 Batch A senate list upload, and also they were instructed by NYSC to submit the hardcopy senate list to NYSC headquarters in Abuja on 8th and 9th April as we announced earlier.  That is what the upcoming online registration is all about. There is no greater characteristics that defines a Prospective Corp Member (PCM) like the characteristics of asking questions. In fact PCMs can ask questions for Africa (funny yes i know) but this is a good thing because with such feature, you will not miss anything.
