NYSC General And Approved Grounds For Relocation - PCMs Posted To States They Don't Like

After getting to camp you can officially relocate to a state of your choice based on 4 grounds legally approved by the NYSC body. Below are the 4 major grounds with which corpers can use to relocate to the state of their choice:

MARITAL GROUND

This ground was specifically designed for Married women and nursing mothers who were unfortunately not posted to the state of their husband's residence. If they can successfully provide all the necessary documents required for the process, they will be relocated to any state of their choice provided its the state where their husband reside. See also List of documents to be uploaded by married women for more info on documents needed for this.

INSECURITY GROUND

This is another automatic ground for relocation. If you are posted to states like Yobe, Adamawa or Borno which has a high rate of insurgency, you can apply for relocation based on Insecurity Ground to any state of your choice.

In recent developments, states like Lagos, Abuja and State of Origin are excluded. If for instance you apply for any of these 3 states, they will relocate you to a closer state and sometimes to another state that is secure.

HEALTH GROUND

This particular ground for relocation was provided for those with Critical ailments. If you are suffering from any severe ailment which is Life threatening, the NYSC management is bound to relocate you for free to the state of your choice, usually the state where you are receiving treatment.

Just like in the case of Insecurity ground, State of Origin are excluded. For relocation based on health ground you will need a genuine medical report which should detail the state of your health for which in the course of tendering it, you will be interviewed to ascertain if for certain you have the ailment you claim. A written letter is to be attached, see also How to redeploy on Health ground for more info

Be aware that in Relocation on Health ground, massive number of individuals are always applying for it so be sure to go with a very valid medical report.

RELOCATION ON DIRECTOR GENERAL'S DIRECTIVE GROUND (DG DIRECTIVE)

This is the best but most expensive ground for relocation to any state of your choice including Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, State of Origin and Others. Here, you will need a strong and reliable personnel who would work it out for you using the details you will provide. You will be requested to pay certain amount of money for this particular relocation while other grounds are free.

NOTE: Beware of fraudsters as they are everywhere and ready to dupe PCMs promising to relocate them based on this particular ground.
