BREAKING NEWS - NYSC Releases Date For All 2020 Batch A Corpers To Resume Camp

It has indeed been an amazing service year for the NYSC 2020 Batch A corp members as they are rounding up their service year. All Corp members belonging to this Batch have been looking forward to their Passing Out Parade (POP) in order to fully join the labour market and start making money.

As well know, the NYSC 2020 Batch A were the first set of the National Youth Service Corps to experience the COVID-19 breakout, as such they did not complete their orientation exercise and were all asked to leave camp until further notice.

Finally, a date has been fixed by the NYSC management for the return of corps members who belong to 2020 Batch A. The NYSC management made the announcement on their various social media handles stating that Corp members belonging to this Batch are required to report to camp on the 29th January 2021. The NYSC management has made it clear that not all corpers will report to the camp to resume their orientation exercise, only those selected can print the resumption letter from their dashboard.

Following this latest development, 2020 Batch 'A' Corp members serving in Borno are exempted from camp resumption.

NYSC 2025/2026 Mobilization Update

2025 Batch C Stream 2 will be automatically exempted from the NERD upload requirement , a new development which was announced few months ago. Recall that the Federal Government’s NERD policy was supposed to start on the 6th of October 2025, but the enforcement was put on hold. Later in October 2025, both NERD and NYSC issued circulars confirming that 2025 Batch C (which automatically includes Stream 2) will not be required to obtain the NERD Clearance Slip because their mobilization began before the enforcement date. It was clearly stated in the circular later released that full compliance will only be mandatory for PCMs who are newly mobilized from January/February 2026 onward. As the orientation camp is almost over, you’re now free from the early morning hassle, meditation, and strenuous drills. You are on to another phase of the service. This time it’s not about drills but responsibility and the next line of action for your own future. Here are some things you should do after the orientation camp. - Settle down : In your posting letter, it is indicated where your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is and you must have been conveyed by representatives of the different Local Government Areas where you’re posted to the area. The next thing is to settle down. There are usually four temporary and permanent accommodations provided by religious bodies such as NCCF, NACC, MCAN and the likes.
