77k Alawee - FG Finally Increase Corps Members Allowance

A very big congratulation to all aspiring and already serving corps members as FG finally increases their allowance from 33k to 77k.

The Federal Government has approved the increment of Corps Members' monthly allowance to Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira (N77,000) with effect from July 2024.

This is in line with the enactment of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.

This was contained in a letter from the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, dated 25th September 2024 and signed by the Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta.

Prior to this, the Director General, NYSC Brigadier General YD Ahmed, had paid an advocacy visit to the Chairman in which he solicited for a robust welfare package for Corps Members. 

The NYSC Boss is thankful to the Federal Government for the timely gesture and is optimistic that it will not only bring much needed succour to the Corps Members, but also boost their morale and motivate them to do even more, in their service to the nation.

Before this increment, the monthly allowance for Corps Members  was Thirty-Three Thousand Naira (N33,000).

    I hope this is not a prank as usual. 33,000 was paid on August and I can't remember any civil servants testimony of receiving the new implemented national minimum wage. God help us, they should make it real I pray.

NYSC 2026 Mobilization Update

NYSC TO OPEN ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL AGAIN FOR THE RECENTLY UPLOADED SUPPLEMENTARY SENATE LIST FOR Portal for supplementary online registration will be opened from thursday 9th April 2026 to Saturday 11th April 2026 for 2026. This was announced officially by NYSC management recently.  Remember that SAOs of institutions were instructed few weeks ago to upload supplementary senate list of their students who couldn't meet up with the initial 2026 Batch A senate list upload, and also they were instructed by NYSC to submit the hardcopy senate list to NYSC headquarters in Abuja on 8th and 9th April as we announced earlier.  That is what the upcoming online registration is all about. Also those who were not privileged to register before can register when portal opens if their name is on the NYSC online senate list. NYSC 2026 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & THEIR ANSWERS

There is no greater characteristics that defines a Prospective Corp Member (PCM) like the characteristics of asking questions. In fact PCMs can ask questions for Africa (funny yes i know) but this is a good thing because with such feature, you will not miss anything. Below are some list of relevant questions always asked by 2026 Batch PCMs 1.  Will every PCM who has successfully registered and gotten call-up number/greencard for a particular NYSC Stream be posted?  - No, some PCMs will not get call-up letter and they will be moved over to the next stream or batch as the case may be.
