Major Reasons Why PCMs Still Can't Register After NYSC Registration Portal Opened

Its always a tough time for Prospective Corps Members (PCM) each time the NYSC online registration portal opens for eligible candidates who are aspiring for the National Youth Service Corps Programme (NYSC) to register.

The case of 2024 Batch B Stream 2 is no different as most (if not all) of them are still facing difficulties while trying to register online as the portal just opened today.

As we are all aware by now that the first basic reason why a PCM will still not be able to register for the NYSC programme is as a result of his or her name not on the NYSC senate list or having a red notification error even while on the NYSC senate list which will need fixing.

Now this brings us to the reason why most 2024 Batch B Stream 2 PCMs cannot register up till now. Here is an information below from a social media comment by NYSC as to why most PCMs still can't carry on with their online registration process:

"Most of the Institutions have uploaded, but have not submitted the hardcopy of the Senate list to NYSC headquarters in Abuja for complete verification. Hence, you cannot register, until it is submitted."

Below is also an announcement from a Circular released by NYSC as regards to Submission of hardcopy senate list;

SUBMISSION OF HARD COPIES OF SENATE ACADEMIC BOARD APPROVED UPLOADED RESULTS

- This is to inform you that the submission of hard copies of approved Senate/Academie Boards uploaded results for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 has commenced at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja.

- Therefore, all SAOs are please enjoined to be meticulous in the collation and upload of their data to avoid rejection of thelr institution's submission.

- You are specifically advised to input correct Dates of graduation (Day, month and year) as appears on the Statement of Results and correct Dates of birth for all your graduates, as correction of same shail not be entertained after submission.

- Please note that submission of hard copies at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja in person mandatory for all SAOs as failure to do so will deprive your graduates from registering online when the portal is opened.

- Furthermore, you are to ensure that each page of the forwarded hard copies is stamped and signed by the Registrars and the document duly indemnified, thank you.

In view of the above explanation, i will urge all PCMs to remain patient and keep in touch with the SAO of their respective institutions to know when their hard copy senate list is submitted.
