NYSC Accredited Cyber Cafe For Online Registration

The National Youth Service Corps Management (NYSC) announced on 2nd of January 2022 that there will be accreditation of Cyber Cafe operators Nationwide. This accreditation will solely be characterised by eligibility of Cafe operators to carry out NYSC online related activities.

The official NYSC site "https://nysccbo.org.ng/nyscbo/public/index.php/accredited/cbo/list" which has all the list of accredited cyber cafe for online registration has been under maintainance for weeks now, hence we have been able to obtain a PDF copy which has the list of accredited cyber cafe. PCMs can use the below link to locate NYSC accredited cyber cafe closest to them.


Below was an announcement for 2022 Batch B PCMs as regards to whether or not they will carry out their upcoming online registration in only cyber cafes that are accredited. See the information below;

"In view of the low number of Cybercafe Business Operators (CBOs) so far accredited across the nation since the launch on 10th May, 2022 and in order to avoid stress and difficulties that will be experienced by the Prospective Corps members (PCMs), the 2022 Batch ‘B’ online registration will be open to all Cybercafe operators whether accredited or not.

The restriction of registration to only accredited CyberCafe Operators will now commence in full during 2022 Batch ‘C’ online registration. The validity period for the paid subscription will be fixed once we kickstart.The full list of nysc Accredited CBOs so far can be viewed at cbo.nysc.gov.ng

Now let me go into details as to what accreditation implies. Accreditation is an action or process of officially recognizing someone as having a particular status or being qualified to perform a particular activity.

Hence, in a much lighter explanation and relating it with the accreditation of CYBER CAFES by the National Youth Service Corps Management, it implies that there will be recognized cyber cafes which will be eligible to carry out CERTAIN or ALL NYSC related online activities. 

In the past, there used to be accredited centers for NYSC online registration but after a while it stopped being mentioned and online registration could hence be done in any cafe provided that particular business center has all the required equipments for online registration.

There are certain things you should know about the accreditation of Cyber Cafes and these include;

1. Only accredited cyber cafe operators/centers by the NYSC management will be able to carry out NYSC online registration. There are certain advantages and disadvantages. An advantage includes the fact that there will be no unnecessary mistakes during online registration which causes problem in the NYSC CAMP during documentation because accredited Cyber cafe agents registering PCMs are enlightened. More so, registration by proxy and not physical thumb print will be curtailed and the cost for online registration is subsidised (reduced) compared to the charges normal cafe agents charge PCM. Know that accreditation is for the best interest of PCMs.

2. Secondly, accredited centers are given privileges to carry out certain crucial NYSC online activities like easy correction of some wrong information/data of a PCM like wrong date of birth, wrong course of study, wrong name arrangement, e.t.c which will obstruct their service year.

NYSC 2026 Mobilization Update

NYSC TO OPEN ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL AGAIN FOR THE RECENTLY UPLOADED SUPPLEMENTARY SENATE LIST FOR Portal for supplementary online registration will be opened from thursday 9th April 2026 to Saturday 11th April 2026 for 2026. This was announced officially by NYSC management recently.  Remember that SAOs of institutions were instructed few weeks ago to upload supplementary senate list of their students who couldn't meet up with the initial 2026 Batch A senate list upload, and also they were instructed by NYSC to submit the hardcopy senate list to NYSC headquarters in Abuja on 8th and 9th April as we announced earlier.  That is what the upcoming online registration is all about.
