COVID-19 VACCINATION FOR NYSC PCMs - Compulsory Or Not? CLICK HERE TO SEE

BELOW IS AN UPDATE FROM THE NYSC MANAGEMENT AS REGARDS TO COVID-19 VACCINATION DURING 2022 BATCH C STREAM 1 PCMs

"All Prospective Corps Members (including the foreign-trained) must present themselves for COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) or present evidence of full vaccination at the Camp before registration."

Some PCMs are still confuse about this statement but i will explain to you what it means so make sure you read to the end to avoid questions. This simply means that if a PCM have not been vaccinated against the Corona Virus by proof of showing their "Vaccination Card", such PCM will have to present his or herself for COVID-19 RDT Test. RDT Test is a kind of quick medical screening which will help them know whether you have the Corona virus or not. 

Most of you must have come across a video where something long was inserted into the nostrils of a Corper with Khaki, that process you saw in the video is a kind of RDT test so expect such. You can CLICK HERE to watch the video.

So in summary as regards to whether or not PCMs will not be allowed in the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp if they are not vaccinated against the Corona Virus, this is what you have to know; presenting the vaccination card is not compulsory so if you don't have the card be ready to undergo the COVID-19 RDT Test.

Do not beat yourself up for being confuse becasue during the NYSC mobilization process for any particular NYSC Batch or Stream there seems to always be one (1) or two (2) information which PCMs are never certain about. This is because such information has been circulated around and seems to be true but the NYSC management keeps mute about it, possibly because they are still deliberating on it or have no idea about such information being in circulation. 

So this is the case of 2022 Batch C Stream 1 PCMs as their NYSC mobilization process is still in progress even while releasing of supplementary Senate list is ongoing each day that go by. CLICK HERE to see the list of schools whose supplementary senate list is out so far for 2022 Batch C Stream 1. 

Also during the time of 2021 Batch C, there was a memo released which stated that "Henceforth, Prospective Corp Members will not be allowed into the orientation camp if they are not vaccinated". This memo and information was solely carried by newspapers online and never seen on any of the NYSC social media pages.

Considering the Memo being released and never debunked (countered) by the NYSC management, it meant that, either PCMs will be vaccinated at the gate before entering into camp or the vaccination card will be requested for at the gate while entering the camp. We are still not sure.

Also for everyone, you never know which other opportunity apart from NYSC might open up that you will need the vaccination card to access such opportunity, so i advise that if you have time, take the first dose as there is no harm done and there is even space of weeks before you can be allowed to take the second dose. 

Lastly note that this certificate (Vaccination Card/Certificate) is not easy to forge as this is computerized and everyone has his/her unique vaccination number.
