NYSC Schedules Dates For 2023 Batch "A" Stream 2 POP - See Also the Steps To Take For Final NYSC Clearance


After a long and fulfilled service year, the National Youth Serving Corp members belonging to the 2023 Batch A Stream 2 set are finally rounding up their Youth Corp programme in a grand style. 

The journey has been a rough & smooth one for them with so many changes in contrast to the normal NYSC process but they have successfully triumphed in rounding up their service to the Nation and surely deserve a huge accolade. 

The NYSC management have scheduled different dates for events that will be taking place regarding the Passing Out Parade (POP) which include clearance and distribution of certificates. 

Below we are going to detail out all the event dates that have been scheduled to take place and also discuss how corpers can go about their final clearance. 

NYSC 2023 BATCH A STREAM 2 Winding-Up/Passing-Out (POP) Programme of Activities (Timetable)


Please note that officers from the Planning, Research and Statistics Department will be on ground to monitor the programme. I wish you a very successful Winding-up and Passing-out exercise, thank you.

BELOW IS A SUMMARY OF THE STEPS TO TAKE FOR A SUCCESSFUL FINAL CLEARANCE

1. Obtain the final clearance form from the Zonal office. 

2. Make sure to fill your correct details in the spaces provided on the clearance form and attach a clear passport of you (preferably red or white background). 

3. Carry the clearance form you have filled to your respective Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) for signing and stamping in order for you to be given a final clearance letter. 

4. Proceed to photocopy your original NYSC IDcard (Front and Back) and attach it to the final clearance form. You can make the photocopy on only one (1) A4 paper if you wish. 

5. Go to the Zonal office and return the filled form for LGA clearance. 

6. Make sure to retrieve the clearance form after it is duly signed and stamped by the ZI or LGI. 

7. Obtain the NYSC POP FORM 4B from the zonal office and fill it as required.

8. Submit the form 4B you have filled, back to the zonal office. 

Note that while going for these activities, all passing out serving corps members are advised to maintain discipline and adhere to every instructions given, they ars also instructed to obey the rules of physical or social distancing including the use of face mask, hand sanitizers and thorough washing of hands with liquid soap as the activities are going on.

2025 BATCH C PCMs Are Now Excluded From Obtaining The Mandatory NERD Clearance Slip

A Circular has just been released by "NERD" with respect to the new policy by the federal government of Nigeria which involves the mandatory submission of final year output (Thesis/Project) by graduates for NYSC mobilization. In the circular dated 17/10/2025 and duely signed by the secretary to the governing council of NERD Mr Richard Falaye, it stated that the policy will strictly apply to all Batches of NYSC from january 2026. Some important information from the circular reads as follows; "NERD, in collaboration with the NYSC and other relevant agencies, has agreed to relax stringent measures for the 2025 Batch C prospective Corps members." "This decision recognises that these students fall within the transitional period and their mobilisation processes had started before the deadline set by the new Federal Government directive." The Federal Government has introduced new guidelines requiring graduates to submit their thesis and final-year projects into the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) before they can be mobilized for the NYSC programme.
